The town of Bulembu is surrounded by the natural beauty of lush green hills and eucalyptus forests. Bulembu Country Lodge presents a charming blend of history and nature, beauty and comfort.
Whether you are just passing through or plan on staying a while, you will savour the solitude as you relax and enjoy our scenic beauty, or be changed forever by getting involved with our projects and helping us restore and bring hope to this town. Bulembu will provide a rich cultural experience and is within reach of all the major South African attractions, like the Kruger National Park.
Since Bulembu is such a unique place, our visitors are also different to the normal tourist; you are a Voluntourist – a volunteer tourist. Alternatively, become a Volunteer – as a volunteer you can live in Bulembu for up to three months, while participating in a self-directed program that will immerse you in the Bulembu community. Whether you decide on coming for a few days, bring a group of friends for an extended period or join our Volunteer program, we guarantee that you will leave Bulembu changed.
There are also a number of projects in place in Bulenbu to empower the local community, including an orphanage for children whose parents have been victims to HIV/AIDS. Crafts and several other businesses are being developed in an effort to create income earning opportunities.
